SQL Management studio failed to load.

    
      When you try to connect SQL studio this error prompts on your screen.


The 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.SqlStudio, Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.SqlStudio, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' package did not load correctly.

 Resolution:

 Click Start
Search for SQL Server Management Studio
Right click on Management studio
Click on Run as Administrator

    I have the exact error message you have but the solution did not work. I ran it as Administrator and the same error box appeared.

    I had this error as well and I was working on remote desktop. Try logging all the way out of the server and then back in. You should then not receive the error. I will say that in my case our vendors had installed an older version of sql onto a newer one and we had to uninstall and reinstall which is what caused our error. Hope this helps!
